Vision or plan for entrepreneurship education
Establish a vision for enterprise across the whole school which is focused on continuing improvement, success and high standards of achievement for all and where preparing students for the next stages in their lives is at the heart of all activity.
Resources to encourage and support entrepreneurship education
We run a Team Programme for year 11 students through Young Enterprise.
We have a dedicated Business and Enterprise Centre, which hosts a cafe, run by the students and a small shop area, where the students sell their products to visitors.
Focus on student centred learning, integration in different subjects
Senior school cover enterprise throughout the curriculum, numeracy, literacy and ICT skills. The main one is communication and life skills. We rely heavily on volunteers to come in to help with the practical activities
Evaluation of entrepreneurship education and learning and by whom
This is evaluated by myself who is part of the leadership team and reviewed by the governors/Head Master
Please give examples
We have held a Thriftwood Enterprise Challenge for the past 4 years which is for all SEN and Primary schools in Essex, this is covered by the local press
