About TES

The Virtual Guide to Entrepreneurial Learning is part of The Entrepreneurial School (TES).

TES is one of the largest entrepreneurship education initiatives in Europe, co-funded by the European Commission through the Competitiveness and Innovation Programme (CIP). It aims at supporting teachers professional development in applying the entrepreneurial learning in several subjects and learning environments (primary, secondary, upper secondary and vocational schools).

This objective is achieved primarily by developing the Virtual Guide to Entrepreneurial Learning with entrepreneurial tools and methods organized in teacher-friendly packages and by training over 4,000 teachers in 18 countries in Europe who will be the first beneficiaries of the Virtual Guide and teacher training scheme.

The project’s activities have been developed thanks to the National Focus Groups that were established at local level in Denmark, Finland, Italy, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, and UK. These National Focus Groups include individuals from a variety of institutions/partners and stakeholders from education, business, government and civil society. They have a connection to national work on entrepreneurship education and play a key role in promoting a pan-European development of the entrepreneurial learning. See all the partners.

Throughout TES, the National Focus Groups are involved in the following activities:

  • help to kick off the project at national level,
  • participate in the scope, search and testing activities,
  • coordinate teacher training phase in the countries,
  • give input on the quality framework,
  • provide support as teachers begin to use the Virtual Guide.
