Vision or plan for entrepreneurship education
The school's vision and goal is that cooperation and prosperity in an active and creative environment shall give conditions to growth. The school's pedagogical belief is respect, confidence and involvement of all school partners.
Entrepreneurship is integrated in the schools activities and specially focused in 4th, 7th and 9th grade through specific programs to stimulate the student’s entrepreneurial skills.
The schools involvement in entrepreneurship in education is founded in the local strategies for the municipality and in national political strategies
Resources to encourage and support entrepreneurship education
One teacher has the overall responsibility for maintaining the focus on entrepreneurship through keeping contact with external partners involved, sharing experiences between the teachers and participating in meetings/ workshops on the subject. For having this coordinator role, the teacher gets some economic compensation.
Focus on student centred learning, integration in different subjects
We use JA-YE Norway’s program “Pupils Enterprise program” to train the student’s entrepreneurial skills. “Pupils Enterprise program” is a cross curricular program used on all students in 9th grade. To increase the students learning outcome we involve different representatives from local business life and public sector in different stages of the program.
Evaluation of entrepreneurship education and learning and by whom
The student answers an evaluation form at the end of the period. Here they can reflect around what they have learned and what they think of their effort and the teacher’s role as supervisors in the program. We evaluate the whole period with our colleges as well so we can share experiences.
