Part of HP Living Progress –the company’s vision for creating a better future for everyone through its actions and innovations – HP LIFE e-Learning enables people to gain the business and IT skills that help create jobs and stimulate economic growth.
Deployed on HP Helion, learners have access to 25 modular courses in seven languages, including English, French, Spanish and Portuguese, a wide range of supporting online resources to deepen the learning experience and certification for successfully completed courses.
HP LIFE e-Learning is accessed directly by self-paced learners and is used by educators, trainers and mentors to enrich their curriculum or the services they offer to their students - as homework, as the basis for participatory learning, or for 1:1 mentoring. HP LIFE e-Learning is also used by small business centers as a way to prepare clients for a counseling session or as a follow up assignment to further their understanding.
Purpose and process
HP Life means HP learning initiative for entrepreneurs. The purpose of HP life is to help learning basic business concepts and IT skills, all skills that have never been more relevant than in today’s economy and a priority in entrepreneurship education. Through twenty-five simple, interactive short modules, HP life cover finance, operations, marketing, communications and social entrepreneurship – use one or use them all. You can use the modules as an enhancement to current curriculum, as standalone training, as homework, or for participatory, team-based activities.
- HP Life is easy to integrate - no complex learning management systems, no access codes to purchase
- Dedicated educators' section with useful resources to get you going
- It can also be used as a professional development resource for educators
The modular program was developed by EDC – a widely recognized e-Learning specialist. It covers four main topics: finance, marketing, operations and communication. You choose the courses at the level you need. You’ll also have access to helpful hints, webinars and business information.

It is a very flexible tool, useful for students in secondary schools and up. Teachers can ask the students to do specific courses where they need more practise. The sessions have both a practical "learning" lesson, explanatory videos and additional materials, depending how deep you want to dive. Absolute recommended taking a walk through for a teacher.
