Vision or plan for entrepreneurship education

Students from the I stage of development have been taking part in the national financial educational program “From Grosik to Zloty (from penny to dollar)” since 2010. The realization lasts 10 months – starting in second grade and ending in third grade. During this course students learn about the basics of finance, including e.g. types of currency and its value and acquiring skills which would make easier independent decision making regarding methods of saving and managing own resources.

Resources to encourage and support entrepreneurship education

The school has been carrying out the course “Grosz Adventures” ("Grosikowe Wędrówki") since 2010. It involves volunteers and parents. It prepares souvenirs and offers food and drinks for the participants. The students participating in contests which are realized through the project receive diplomas and awards.

Focus on student centred learning, integration in different subjects

The school applies a stimulating method which develops creativity thanks to which the students learn by doing, researching, and playing didactic games. In education it is important to have variety and balance when applying methods of teaching, thus such an approach is applied in every subject. Most of all in subjects about nature, art craft, during the early education period more often than during math because of its subject content.

Evaluation of entrepreneurship education and learning and by whom

As far as the program “From Grosik to Zloty” the principal observes certain classes. Tests are also taken, which were created by the authors of the program and passed on to Young Achievement Poland (FMP). As far as content of specific subjects within the program encompassing education for entrepreneurs, evaluations are carried out by teachers during quizzes, tests, and during observations and documentation control done by the principal.
