Coaching

Una dichiarazione che sostiene l'importanza del ruolo di coaching dei docenti in attività di impresa, basata sulle esperienze di Junior Achievement Slovacchia.

Scopo e Processo

La creatività permette agli imprenditori di creare prodotti e servizi che i concorrenti non sono in grado di fornire, espandendo il mercato. Gli studenti devono avere accesso ad un ambiente sperimentale in cui possono assumere rischi e sperimentare nuove idee. Gli insegnanti non devono più indicare gli studenti imprenditoriali come giusti o sbagliati, ma devono invece agire come allenatori e aiutare gli studenti a perseguire i loro obiettivi.

Risultati di apprendimento

Gli studenti possono:

  • Approfittate di un ambiente più 'aperto' in cui possono assumersi la responsabilità del proprio apprendimento, mettere in pratica le loro abilità, assumere rischi e sperimentare nuove idee in un contesto supportato;
  • Sviluppare un rapporto diverso con il loro insegnante come allenatore.

Rilevanza Tematica o Curriculare

Potrebbe essere usato per arricchire più aree tematiche, tra cui STEM (“Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics”).

Il Coaching può avvenire in qualsiasi contesto.

Modelli e Approcci di Valutazione

Il Coaching implica un feedback per aiutare gli studenti a capire come migliorare e raggiungere i loro obiettivi.

Il Coaching può essere intrapreso anche da partner esterni provenienti da imprese e comunità locale.

Students should be allowed the freedom to think out of the box. As their initial ideas might be abstract or unrealistic, it's the teacher's coaching that will enable them to decide which ideas to persue and how to turn them into practical/ concrete ideas.

Coaching – a style of teaching based on closer relation between teacher and his students. It is not only about giving knowledge to others but also shoving opportunities to find solution for given tasks based on real situation. Coach, more likely than teacher will asses progress of his pupil rather than put simply some notes.

This tool allows student to feel safe and generate many various ideas connected with udertaken activities eg. mini firm, science festival. It changes the role of a teacher who becomes a coach - this is its great advantage

Τhis tool requires continued updating the knowledge of coaches, continuous assessment/evaluation of both the action taken and guidance for compliance schedules. The credibility of the coach,the encouragement and the fact that he/she works as a ''signpost" for students increases the chances of success of their ventures.

Coaching is very practical tool for this type of working with students. Teacher as a coach can help students when they don't know what is the problem, how they can save the problem and what they really want for themselves within the company. It's recommendable that the teacher has some knoweledge about coaching process, how to give suitable questions and not to make a comment on their solutions.

This method supposes that teachers change their role and act in a different way with their students. They play a new role and don't say what students must do or think anymore. They only place students in a right context for them to feel more responsible and to allow them make their own choices. Teachers only advice. Students also are in a new role : they must make their own choices and take their own decisions that can be difficult; particularly if teachers don't give them the environment they need. Teachers must learn how to do so. Students develop new abilities with this method. It is a very good method for students to learn.
